This museum on the Akita Dog, a national protected species, was built in 1978 as a 50th anniversary project of the Akita Dog Protection Society. There are materials on the Akita Dog pedigree, traditional bear hunting, and Hachiko the Faithful Dog. You can also see real Akita dogs.
