On his way to the Ani Silver Mine ,Hiraga Gennai is said to have taught the villagers the principals of hot air balloons. Huge paper balloons that illustrated with beautiful women and warriors fill the night sky, making this festival seem otherworldly.
Held on February 10th every year.
