Hiburi Kamakura

The festival starts from burning wood in Kamakura(the snow igloo).
Then fire the tall tree(about 5m/16ft) that is called “Tempitsu”. “Hiburi” is like fire juggling.
Participants put the fire on a charcoal pack which is putted on the end of a rope, and then swing it around their body.
They purify themselves with this fire as they pray no sickness and home safety.
