It was established in 1853. Miso (soy bean paste), soy sauce and pickles are made there. Even though they inherited the techniques from the old days, they also have been trying to make different tastes that matches the time and palate of Akita. Its “Zashiki Cellar” and “Book collection Cellar” is said to be the oldest in Tohoku region. Gorgeous “Zashiki Cellar” is used as a ceremonial place even now. You can take a tour anytime.
