Akita Furusato-mura is an all-weather theme park packed with the wonder of Akita. Visitors can enjoy a planetarium and trick art, as well as craft making workshops. A folk craft museum and the Akita Museum of Modern Art are also found here. There is a restaurant that serves local cuisine, and a shop selling various Akita souvenirs including local sake.
