Former -Ryotei Kaneyu was constructed in 1937. The building is a symbol of the City of Woods of Noshiro.The building is constructed with natural Akita Cedars from former Futatsui Town, Nibuna. The combination of the grand structure of the historical building and the elegant scenery is a proof of modern Noshiro culture and the prosperity of lumber processing technology . In 1998, the building became a tangible cultural property of Japan.
