Senshu Park has been voted one of the hundred most famous places to see cherry blossom trees in all of Japan. The park boasts approximately 730 cherry blossom trees, including a 120-year-old Somei-Yoshino hybrid tree located on the Kubota Castle grounds, once home to the Daimyo Satake. The best time to view the cherry blossoms is from mid- to late April, at which time locals attend cherry blossom festivals and go on lively flower viewings. During the festivities, you will find outdoor stalls alongside the park's regular commercial fixtures. Be sure to stick around to see the park grounds lit up at night!
