It was loved by Lord Satake of Akita Domain. In the Taisho period, it was a popular place for spa treatment. It became a hot spring town where lodges lined up like now since the 1950’s. The water is salty and you won't cool down easily after the bath. The hot spring has a beautiful skin effect and is highly recommended to women.
