Kosaka Mine Office was designated as an important cultural property by the Japanese government in 2002. The office was originally built in as the office of Kosaka Mine in 1905. The building, with its Renaissance style exterior, continued to be used as the mine’s office until 1997. Inside there are a restaurant, a souvenir shop, and a kimono studio.
