Shirakami Yatate Tougenkyo Resort and Hikage Hot Springs

This is a resort surrounded by nature, located at the northeast entrance to the world heritage site, Shirakami-Sanchi.
The Hikage Hot Springs are said to be good for the skin, and this is a famous hot spring well loved for its water which is gentle to the skin. The spring, with its unique, cloudy, white water, is loved as a wondrous fountain that should be visited for 3 days at a time. It is known to spread gently through the skin of those worrying about skin wounds, skin illnesses, and so on.
There are three spring sources within the resort. It is recommended to try each of them to experience their different colors, effects, and other unique characteristics.
The food is raised without commercial fertilizers, agricultural chemicals, and so on, so meals that are gentle to the body are offered here. The foodstuffs are bought from local contracted farmers, so you can enjoy experiencing food unique to Akita.

At the mountain behind the resort, a trekking course, mountain climbing path, and so on are being maintained, so along with the hot springs, you can also enjoy mother nature to the fullest.
