Known as the Akita cedar production hub, and reopened in 2018 in Futatsui, Noshiro. In addition to specialty shops, and a restaurant that serves locally popular dishes made with horse meat, an approximately 850 year old fossilized cedar is also on display below glass flooring at the center of the facility.
