Unosaki Seashore
Unosaki Seashore is a 1.5 kilometer long seashore in the southern part of Oga Peninsula. The terrain of the seashore expanding in a ring shape, the wonderful scenery of the expansive shoreline, and other such features are Oga's representative symbols. Unosaki Seashore is also registered as one of Japan's 100 seashores.
At low tide, a shoal stretching out about 200 meters from the shoreline appears, allowing one to walk out into the sea.
At times of tranquil weather, the water surface acts like a mirror and beautifully reflects the scenery, earning this location the additional name of Akita's Uyuni Salt Lake. The evening sun is also beautiful enough to take your breath away. It is a must see sight! It is a photogenic spot where you can feel Oga's nature.
