Yuri Kogen Railway

由利高原鉄道

A 23km local line from Ugohonjo Station to Yashima Station. Looking along one of Tohoku's finest mountains, Mt. Chokai, runs along the Koyoshi River that flows through rice field, and the beautiful scenery of the four seasons colors the train windows. One round trip in the morning is attended by a train attendant wearing an Akita Obako wearing a Kasuri kimono. Event trains that match the season, such as the Ohinakko train and the cool beer train, are also fun.
