The Sashimaki Wetlands Park is set within a forest that is home to a colony of white skunk cabbages. The best time to see these flowers is between early April and early May, which is when the local community celebrates their White Skunk Cabbage Festival. Visitors to the festivities will be able to try local foods, purchase souvenirs and take in live performances.
