Akinomiya-Sanso is the southernmost hot spring resort in Akita Prefecture. It is also known as the oldest onsen villa in the prefecture.
The large bathing area features an outdoor bath with water jets, and a total of seven types of baths to enjoy.
The clear and colorless hot spring water contains sodium chloride.
The lodge’s restaurant features a bountiful lunch menu, with a range of cuisine made using local, seasonal ingredients including mountain vegetables.
