One of the biggest tug-of-war in Japan is held in Kariwano, Daisen City.
This traditional festival has a history dating back more than 500 years.You will be surprised the several thousand people will pull the rope which is about 200 meters long, 20 tons weight.
General participation is welcome to the tug-of-war 'Hiki-ai' starting around 9pm after the traditional ceremony by the local people.
