The northernmost part of "Oku no Hosomichi"
It is said that this temple was developed by Jikaku Daishi of Enryaku Temple in Mt. Hiei. Many years ago it was a prominent feature of Kujuku Island. The landmark exists in a secluded precinct surrounded by old trees.
