This winter festival is held throughout February on the shores of Lake Towada. Visitors will be able to take in snow sculptures, ride frozen snow-slides and try snowshoeing. At night, light shows and fireworks displays are held alongside various on-stage performances. This festival also allows for a golden opportunity to sample some of Akita and Aomori prefecture's local cuisine.
