This is the site of late Jomon period. 4 stone circles were found here. This is unique in Japan. In addition to the circles, you can enjoy the great view of Shirakami-Sanchi. “Isedotai Jomon Museum” showcases about 300 clay figures and earthenware found in the site. How to corners of Magatama (a comma-shaped bead ) and earthenware is also popular. It was designated as a National Historic Site in 2001.
*Ruins are open to public from the end of April through the end of October.
