Utto Onsen Matagi-no-Yu is a hot spring lodge in Matagi-no-sato, the land originally inhabited by the Matagi people. From the outdoor baths here, one can enjoy the magnificence of nature throughout the seasons. After the baths, guests can enjoy rural cuisine and unrefined sake.
Connected to the lodge is the Matagi Museum where visitors can see Matagi hunting artifacts designated as tangible folk cultural assets by Japan. Mt. Moriyoshi and Yasu Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in Japan, make for excellent excursion spots.
