A park situated among a castle site in central Odate, a city known as the origin of the Akita inu dog breed. The park is known as a popular sakura viewing location, and in addition to hosting the Sakura Festival in spring, it is also located nearby the Akita Inu Museum, which features materials related to the dog breed.
