A mysterious natural phenomenon at Kagami Numa near the Hachimantai summit, that can be seen from late May to early June if you're lucky. The area is known as the Hachimantai Dragon Eye when the snow melts in spring, due to it being said that it actually looks like a dragon's eye. ※Visitors should wear long / hiking boots if visiting during this season, to traverse snow-covered ground.
